Emily Paxton, born 1981, is a freelance photographer based in the city of Ely within Cambridgeshire. Emily discovered her love for photography after inheriting her first camera at the age of eight, ten years later Emily quickly discovered the exciting visual world of fashion magazines, reportage and art photography. Soon making Photography her career path Emily continued her studies to go onto to complete a Photography BA from the University of Arts in London and more recently qualifying as a teacher of photography with a specialist PGCE from Brighton University.
In between her studies Emily has photographed internationally known musicians such as Alice Russel and had both artwork and portraits published in magazines such as Creative Review and The Fly. More recently Emily has hosted a solo show within an old 1930′s department store and delivered a community led project in association with the Fringe Festival and Photo Biennial, Brighton, 2011. Since relocating to Cambridgeshire in November, Emily is currently undertaking both commercial and personal commissions whilst setting up as a freelance photography tutor in Cambridgeshire.
